The Polar Express

Swimming while it's snowing outside.

Family

All bundled up, look at the snow!!

Can I just tell you that I love the Polar Express!! I think I love it more than my children do. This year for my birthday I asked Jason "the only thing I want is to take my kids to the Polar Express." I have such a great husband. I booked everything and off we went to the Polar Express. The whole day and night it snowed and snowed and snowed and snowed!!! It was Awesome. The last couple of years that we have gone it never snowed. It made it so fun for everyone (minus the 30mph wind chills). Once we got to our hotel went swimming, took a hot, hot bath, ate and had hot chocolate. Then we headed off into the storm to catch a train to see Santa. Just to see the excitement on your kids face when we get to the "North Pole" is priceless. It was worth every penny.

Christmas Berry Brunch

All the Girls

For the past 3 years my sisters, mom and my moms sister and her daughters do this thing called "Berry Brunch." We get dressed up in our Christmas dresses and go to the Landmark and have brunch (more like a late lunch) and then Santa comes and gives gifts to all the little girls. The girls love it every year and remember ( at least Ashlynn does). Each year though I have a child who is not quite sure about Santa and this year the lucky winner was Brinnley. The minute Santa came into the room she high tailed it under the table. It was hilarious!! Luckily Papa was their to save her. Eventually when Santa started passing out the gifts she loosened up and sat on his lap. It's a great tradition and I hope we keep it up. Thanks MOM!!

We Had A Boy!!!!!!!

Man and his best friend

relaxing

Rocco

Yes it's true everyone, we had a boy. He's a doberman puppy,black/tan and about 10 weeks old and has really sharp teeth(we all experienced them). We bit the bullet and drove all the way over to Surprise (yes we really did) and made him apart of our family. We decided on the name Rocco but for some reason he either gets called "Where's my dog" or "Toto" (we've been watching the wizard of oz lately.) The girls love him and can't get enough of him. It's good to have a dog around again.

Lazy with a capital L

Sorry for not posting anything. We have had multiple things happen for us, Disneyland, Halloween, Birthdays and a new puppy (coming this Saturday). For those who didn't know we had to put Toby down. It was really, really hard to do. I will get better at posting the next couple of days. Wait and see.

"OH, I DO LOVE MY CHILDREN"

I came across this picture and thought "Oh, I do love my children." Never mind the constant yelling at them to be nice, share, don't hit, get off your baby sister "SHE DOESN'T LIKE IT, SHE'S CRYING FOR A REASON", eat your food, don't talk to me that way and so on......... If your a mommy you know what I'm talking about. But at the end of the day you count your blessings and thank Heavenly Father that you have them in your life! Even if you sometimes want to give them away :)

The Big 7!!!!

Jason and I celebrated our 7th anniversary yesterday and celebrated by doing an overnighter at The Point - Squaw Peek. I always get a little stressed leaving my kids but thankfully I knew they were in good hands (thanks kiresten!!) We left Monday and had such a blast doing nothing. We stayed by the pool and ate and ate. Well I did most of the eating. There was no one their and it was nice b/c we had everything to ourselves. The next day I had a bright idea that we should hike Squaw Peek, thinking that would be my work out for the day. Boy, I did not know what I was thinking. Almost half was up I was ready to cry because every bone/muscle in my body was screaming at me. Talk about a work out. It was worth it in the end. When it came time to go home, I was really wishing I had more time. Needless to say, I was happy to see my girls.

Bowling

While we were at the cabin we decided to try bowling, the real thing. Ashlynn will tell you that playing bowling on the Wii is NOT the same as doing the real thing. She hated every minute of it because she didn't get strikes. So I guess she'll just stick with the Wii bowling style.

Corn Festival

Last weekend we headed to Grandpa John's cabin to enjoy the cool weather and go to the corn festival in Taylor. Taylor is such a small town and that made the festivities even smaller. They had a parade that consisted of 20-25 floats, all LDS except 1 beat up 1969 Volkswagen bus that had a handful of hippies promoting peace and love. I love that it followed the Taylor 4th ward primary float. Classic!! But the corn is the main reason we went. It's so good. They had a little carnival with jumpers, corn, bbq,and booths. The best part besides the hippies was the horseless rodeo. The kids got to go into the arena and chase chickens. Granted their were about 50 kids to two chickens. Not a pretty picture. Kids were crying left and right because they weren't the ones with the prize,,, the chicken. Thank heavens we lost!

My Favorite Song's (right now)

I'm not that big of a country fan but can still listen to it now and then. But when I heard this song....I just fell in love with it!!! Just take a minute to listen to the very first part because it explains how Jason thought his life was going to go. I know he wouldn't change a thing because he loves his girls. All four of us!!!! Who knows, maybe there's a boy coming our way in the very distant future.

This next song is just fun. It just makes me want to go prance off into a beautiful meadow. What a fun happy song!! Don't worry, I'll make sure that I add more song later. I just had to add these two songs.

Happy Listening.

Mini Girls Trip at Papa's Cabin

I decided, against my better judgement, that I would take the girls up north to my parents cabin. I knew Jason wouldn't miss us because he would be working. And I will say it was well worth it. The weather was perfect, food was good, girls were good and most importantly I had my Breaking Dawn book! To make things even better my parents came up and helped with the kids. You gotta love the grandparents. When we go to Papa's cabin there is only one thing on the girls mind,,,,,fishing. So thank goodness Papa was there to take them fishing. Thanks Dad!!

More Beach pictures

Quick beach trip

We took the family and headed to Oceanside on one of Jason's four days. It was a great trip and we had so much fun. The water was cold but that didn't stop everyone from getting in. I made sure everyone had sunscreen but Cameron. I had her under the umbrella all day and always made sure she had a hat on. But that didn't stop that California sun from frying her face. Poor girl!! She's such a trooper and didn't even cry. I love California!!

Which bed is mine????

At least 4 out of the 7 days of the week we find Brinnley in Ashlynn's bed. Why?? I don't know. Their such good friends and love each other so much. But then again if I was Brinnley I would go into my sisters bed if my bed was a little baby bed. Heck, who wants that when you can have a nice mattress that's a lot more comfortable. We laugh every time we go into their room because we don't know what awaits us.

This is for you James!

I'm doing this post because...... I love James :) James is special. He is such a wonderful brother and friend. He's great with my kids and loves them very much. I will say I am a little disappointed with him because he let a really good girl go. She literally has "the nicest mom in the world." Who let's that kind of girl go??? She's really talented, pretty, smart, talented, her dad's a doctor and her mom, is the nicest lady in the world. Oh well. I think I'll get over it. But James, just want to give you a shout out on my blog. To all you ladies out their,,,, if you know of any cute girls send them this way. This kids got it all.

Your sister, your friend - Natalie

Much over do vacation!!!! And over do Blog!!!! Lot's of Pictures

A couple of weekends ago, my mom, sister and I went to Sedona for a nice get-a-way. There was a lot of shopping, lot's of eating, and lot's of laughing. I loved every minute of it and still wish I was there. We had so much fun just doing nothing. I loved spending the time with my sis and mom. There such special people in my life and I'm grateful I have them! When it was time to go we drove through a little town called Jerome. It used to be a mining town back in the 30's and when the mining closed down everyone left. They have a hotel there that's haunted. This place is literally on the side of a mountain. To get there, you have to drive on a rode that is (I swear) 10 feet wide and goes straight up. Well worth it and just the historical aspect of it is really neat. So long story short, if you ever decide to go to Sedona make a quick trip to Jerome.
