Corn Festival

Last weekend we headed to Grandpa John's cabin to enjoy the cool weather and go to the corn festival in Taylor. Taylor is such a small town and that made the festivities even smaller. They had a parade that consisted of 20-25 floats, all LDS except 1 beat up 1969 Volkswagen bus that had a handful of hippies promoting peace and love. I love that it followed the Taylor 4th ward primary float. Classic!! But the corn is the main reason we went. It's so good. They had a little carnival with jumpers, corn, bbq,and booths. The best part besides the hippies was the horseless rodeo. The kids got to go into the arena and chase chickens. Granted their were about 50 kids to two chickens. Not a pretty picture. Kids were crying left and right because they weren't the ones with the prize,,, the chicken. Thank heavens we lost!
